Unlike couponing at other dollar stores, Family Dollar is a bit more….complex. Not only are the prices more/less than $1, there is also no regular sales cycle. Almost every store has a week-long sales period (Sunday – Saturday, for example). However, Family Dollar has sales cycles that vary each time. Some last longer than others, and sometimes there’s even a break of several days or more between them! This can make planning deals tricky.
However, one thing about Family Dollar is that they do offer store coupons and allow you to stack a store coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon. Here are the different ways that you can get store coupons:
Weekly Ads – Often the weekly ads (that provide the information on the bizarre sales cycles) will have store coupons that you can clip. These typically are only for that cycle and expire at the end of it.
Everyday Values Book – Every month, Family Dollar puts out a flyer that is full of store coupons that are valid for that month. You can find this at the register at your store.’
Digital Coupons – In order to get digital coupons (which are a mix of store and manufacturer’s coupons), you will need to sign up here to get emails and create an account. This account, which is called Smart Coupons, will link to your phone number, which is what you will provide at checkout to use your digital coupons. You can log in online or on your phone to see all of the available digital coupons and add them to your account.
