What order should I give my coupons at Target?
We often get asked if it makes a difference which order you give your coupons to the cashier at Target. While the order doesn’t matter, it makes a difference when you’re calculating the cost of your trip!
Here is the order that the coupons will be taken off by the computer with a example of a $5 product and one of each type of coupon:
- Buy a $5 product
- Take off a $1/1 Target coupon ($4)
- Take off a 20% Cartwheel offer ($3.20)
- Take off a $.60/1 manufacturer’s coupon ($2.60)
- Take off a 5% Red Card ($2.47)
- Out of pocket cost: $2.47
