Easter isn’t very far away! Start getting ready with these cute Easter basket ideas that are just $1 each!
One of my (Tiffany’s) favorite memories of Easter is the Easter egg hunt. I’m the oldest of 10 kids, but growing up there were
only 6 of us. As we got a little older, we were each assigned an Easter egg color for our hunts. That way, everyone got the same number of eggs, and there was no fighting over who saw which egg first!
My clever parents also assigned us the tasks of hiding each other’s eggs in different parts of the house. For me, hiding the eggs was a lot more fun than finding them. (Just as Phillip how much I dislike scavenger hunts – I broke up with him over one!) I distinctly remember several occasions where I would hide an egg extremely well, and then forget where I hid it. It would eventually be found months later in large decorative wreath on the wall, or behind
In order to have an Easter egg hunt, however, you need to have an Easter basket to collect the eggs in! Our baskets were typically fairly simple – some “grass” (that my mother despised but we all insisted on), a few small gifts, and maybe a new dress for church. With six kids, Easter baskets could get pretty expensive if she wasn’t frugal!
Like my mother, I love to find a good deal. I’m especially excited this year for Dollar Tree’s Easter basket supplies that only cost $1 each!
